Woody Dog Reincarnates and Surprises Mom SO Much

When Alexandra DeMelo reached out to me, she already had an inkling her soul dog in spirit, Woody, was planning to reincarnate.

When I connected with Woody, he wasted no time in providing Alexandra with a set of detailed clues to help his mom search for him.

In particular, Woody spent a good deal of time talking about puppies.

He offered up plentiful details about their birth timeline, the size of the litter, even down to which puppy he would be and the color of his coat….brown.

Then life handed Alexandra a curve ball.

A few days after Woody's session, Alexandra's aunt, who still lived in Alexandra’s old hometown, saw a notice in her community paper about a shelter who had just taken in a litter of puppies. She sent Alexandra the picture of the puppies. Alexandra immediately noticed two interesting details.

The shelter was the very same one where she had adopted Woody so many years ago. And some of the puppies in the photo were brown.

So she called up the shelter and explained she was interested in meeting the puppies. They set a date for her to drive down for a meet-and-greet. Then the shelter coordinator, who still remembered her from Woody’s adoption all those years ago, asked if she might be interested in fostering another dog on a short-term basis.

He explained to Alexandra that he had a very special pup, nicknamed Pigtail, who was having trouble finding a home. He also told Alexandra that Pigtail reminded him a lot of Woody - sweet, shy, loving, sensitive and too special to go with anyone who wasn't the absolute perfect family for him.

How could Alexandra say no?

Once Pigtail was settled in, though, Alexandra started to notice something odd. More than one something, to be exact.

Pigtail seemed a lot like Woody! He had similar mannerisms, habits and preferences. He was, in her words, "a gem." In fact, he reminded her of Woody in so many ways that she had even tried reaching out to Woody herself to ask about a name change for him!

Woody responded with "call him Little Prince."

What the heck was going on??

So Alexandra decided to contact me and asked if I could talk with Woody again to clear up the confusion.

While I was at it, she also had another question as well.

Despite the growing list of similarities between Little Prince and Woody, Little Prince was struggling with one decidedly odd phobia. He seemed petrified of stairs. At 55 pounds, he was a sizable pup, too, and she was having to carry him up and down multiple sets of stairs just to navigate going in and out of their home. Woody hadn't had any trouble with stairs, which left Alexandra feeling mystified about it all.

She suddenly had more questions than answers. Who was Little Prince? Could it be possible Little Prince was Woody returned? If yes, why had Woody given her clues about finding him as a little puppy? And why the heck was he suddenly so terrified of stairs?

At this point, I could hardly wait to talk with Woody myself! (I love a good mystery.)

Once again, Woody wasted no time clearing up the confusion.

Yes, he had re-entered Alexandra's life through a soul walk-in with Pigtail/Little Prince. It was an easy transition, since they were of a similar size, breed and temperament.

So then what was all that talk of brown puppies?

Woody explained that the puppies were a red herring of sorts – a clue to cause Alexandra to reach out to the same shelter where she had adopted him all those years ago. He knew that, without the puppies as a clue, she would never have thought to look for him there.

Wow. Both Alexandra and I were blown away. What a plan he had cooked up!

But there was still the question about the stairs phobia. Woody hadn’t had any problem climbing stairs. Why was Little Prince so afraid of stairs?

Woody explained that, as Little Prince, he couldn’t climb the stairs on his own until his mom recognized him for who he really was.

Until then, he had created the stairs phobia so Alexandra had to literally keep him next to her body, feeling his energetic signature again and again, in hopes she would finally recognize him as Woody. Being carried everywhere accomplished this mission nicely.

And Woody said that as soon as his mom recognized him, he would lose his fear of stairs.

After filling Alexandra in about all of this, I especially encouraged her to spend some private time with Little Prince acknowledging him as Woody and honoring her intuition, which had been right all along. They were one and the same! She had recognized him in his new body! She just needed a little support to help put all the pieces and clues together.

A few days later, Alexandra emailed me.

Her email said simply, “Prince just went up a flight of stairs!”

She went on to explain, “He took one step on, one step off, then he stepped back and flew up the stairs!”

She also attached a video and gave me permission to share it with you here. You can hear the excitement in her voice as she praises Little Prince/Woody and also her joy in having her soul dog back again.

You can’t make this stuff up.
